Product Description

The Fuzz Face Mini pedal line features legendary Fuzz Face tones in smaller, more pedalboard-friendly housings with several modern appointments: true bypass switching, a bright status LED, an AC power jack and a convenient battery door. The FFM2 Germanium Fuzz Face Mini is based on ’66-’68 era pre-silicon Fuzz Faces famous for warm vintage fuzz tones provided by slightly mismatched germanium transistors.

sound wise it works well on its own in front of an amp that already has some distortion...if you have the wrong pedals with it, the sound will suffer big time...carefully select what pedals you want to use with it, everything makes a difference...the BIG PROBLEM is...i've ordered 2 different ones so far and a 9 volt battery will not fit in either one...you can't get it into the slot at all...the first one i ordered had about half of the battery hanging out because the footswitch board was angled towards the battery compartment...the one i got today...ugh...the battery ALMOST goes in but not enough to put the battery door on...also, getting the battery door open is a pain too...i prefer using batteries...it works ok with the adaptor, but you'd think someone in quality control would have tried putting a battery in before shipping them out...still undecided whether i'll return it or not...tired of having such a silly problem with a pedal...i've been playing for 48 years and NEVER had a problem like this with ANY pedal...too bad, because you can get some nice fat tones out of it if you're into tweaking...really disappointed with the battery issue...

Germanium Fuzz is as good as advertised. Smooth Fuzz that I can pretty much completely control with the volume knob of my guitar.

First unit died in two weeks but was replaced with no issues.

I love this! Not sure how other distortion pedals work, but I like that there's a definite source volumenthreshold where this kicks in, so if I pick a little bit harder, or use the volume know, it's very easy to go from clean to distorted. Really cool.

This pedal is very simple and I think you can only get one kind of sound out of it. It's not good for dark guitars but it sounds good with hot pickups or single coils.
