Jim Elliot was a great book. I recommend you read it if you like books about savage Indians, missionaries, forgien contries and their jungles, or all of the above. Jim Elliot finds a partner, learns some new languages and travels to South America, all because he feels God calling him to become a missionary. An interesting part of this book was a funeral party where the people who came weren't even remotely sad about the death of a little girl. Jim had taught them that they would see the dead girl again in heaven. It inspired me to listen to God as I make plans for my future and to be open His plans.

There are few who have not heard of Jim Elliot, but I suspect that most do not know the real story behind the Legend. This book tells that story in a vivid but simple fashion. Very inspiring and highly recommended.

First of all, I've really come to appreciate the Christian Heroes series. They're spot on for teens, but serve as a quick intro to the object of the biography for adults as well. This is an excellent "first look" at the life of Jim Elliot.

We have read many of these books and enjoy every one of them. We started with George Mueller. Some in the series are a little over the recommended age, in my opinion. I just skip little bits so they're not too graphic. These books are good for adults or to be read to the kids by mom or dad. They are all very inspiring and exciting. My sons are always asking me to keep reading! They seem to all be different stories of Mark 16:15

This book I read and I think if I had to recommend this book from a 1 to a 10 I would pick 13. The part at the end is very groosom. When the Aucas turn their spears into the missionarys bodies. So if you do not like discusting detail do not read this book
