This is just the kind of "true ghost-story collection" I've been looking for, for ages. Full of that "immediate" feeling you get from hearing someone tell about an experience in their own words, and totally absent of that lame "journalistic" feeling you get from the kinds of "true ghost stories!!1! " collections compiled by egotistical "paranormal experts" trying to tell you what someone else's experience "must have" felt like, if said someone were, perhaps, a reality-show schmendrick or a Hollywood-movie character. The stories in this book are all the more creepy because they are told in the real voices of real people. It makes them more organic. More real! Thank you so very much, Jim Harold. I get the distinct sense that you are a Truly Good Guy. Please publish more of these. Live long, and prosper!

I loved listening to his campfire podcasts and now he's put a collection in a book format. The stories are real, true personal experiences that people have shared. Excellent book to read at Halloween or any time.

I've been a fan of Jim Harold's podcasts for years. His Campfire show is my favorite because its full of real life experiences of the strange and paranormal by ordinary people like me. This book is a great collection of the best stories told on the Campfire. I hope it's just the first of many.
