5.0 out of 5 stars Dark Ministry, January 10, 2005
This review is from: Jim Morrison - The Doors Poster Print, 22x34 (Kitchen)
If there was ever an image that captured Jim Morrison's nature as spokesman for a dark and brooding god, this is the one that played most often before the public eye. Its fatality, an artist dislocated from the world, lost to rituals of drug use that inevitable demand sacrifice, is reflected in the Christ-like pose. A musician devoured by his own nature on processional that will only stop at Pere Lachaise.

Morrison as singer and poet, priest and shaman, to a generation that loved the beautiful losers identified by Leonard Cohen. While this is enchanting for the fan slowly sinking into the first promises of the gothic mindset, it destroyed its icons. Here lies Jim Morrison, his own tombstone.
