About the Author
Ms. Pinckney was born and grew up on Edisto Island a forty mile drive from historical Charleston, South Carolina. A Winthrop University Graduate, her love for her native low country has inspired her numerous booklets in Gullah and her recently published novel, Ursa Major : A Tale of the Old South.
