Cornball stuff but the kids will love it,
By Russian Friend (Plainfield- New Jersey) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Jimmy and Joe Find a Ghost. (Her a Jimmy and Joe Book) (Hardcover)
The Jimmy and Joe series is marvelous for children aged 3-8 . Each story harkens back to a simpler, wholesome time. And the plots usually chug along with events that kids find sufficiently interesting and funny. "Jimmy and Joe Find a Ghost" is no exception. The ghost mystery will keep the youngsters in your house engrossed. Imagine a time when the grocery owner from the main street of your suburban town permits kids to go over to his brand new house to indulge their belief that there might be a ghost to be found there. And of course, the doors are not kept locked....and noone so much as comments on how odd that is. The pictures are great, too. One particularly amusing illustration is the dopey smile on the 'ghost' at the end of the story. Yeah, it's obviously a stretch on the imagination, but this kind of goofiness is a huge hit with the little ones.
