This tea set is imported by one of our Chinese art suppliers. The set is beautifully made by hand. Included is one tea pot with removable lid six cups and six saucers. The tea pot features fine details such as a turtle on top of the lid a dragon swallowing the handle and a whimsical face with the spout for a mouth. Miniature tea pots and sets like this one are treasured collectibles; this set is meant to be displayed for decorative purposes only (not for drinking tea). The tea pot is approximately 5-3/4 inches long and 3-1/2 inches high. The saucers have a diameter of 3-1/4 inches. The cups have a diameter of 2-1/4 inches and they are 1-1/4 inch tall. The set comes in a beautiful red gift box.

This is a simple but classic Chinese tea set. Nice quality, color and shape. You can't believe how good it looks like on a good wood table.

I've seen similar sets in Chinatown in Toronto at double the cost- I wanted to buy this for decorative purposes and it looks terrific set in with my other tea cups and sets. The same company offers a smaller set that I purchased for a friend; again the price was terrific and although it was an "impulse buy" I'm very glad that I bought it! My friend is going to put hers in her China cabinet; in with her other earthenware cups and dishes. She had the idea of filling the cups with potpourri and using it temporarily as a Holiday centerpiece.... lots of neat ideas!
