If youf your spirits need a lift, Jit will put a sparkle in your eye! It is the story of U.K, a young fellow (Zimbabwe) who tries to raise money for the bride price of the girl he loves. Because he is hard-working and industrious, this would all be easy enough were it not for the beer-guzzling incestral spirit (jukwa), who continues to thwart his plans, getting him fired from every job he finds! There is also the fact the the beatiful young lady is being courted by the richest guy in town. Through it all, U.K. keeps a good attitude and a sense of humor that kept me laughing the whole time. The film gets off to a bit of a slow start, but quickly picks up the pace. The showcases great up-beat music called Jit, which accounts for the name of the film. Jit is a wonderful addition to any video library.

The company should be ashamed of themselves for selling a product with damaged audio.
Let me be clear: the movie is excellent, I have seen it before recieving the product I purchased through amazon. I never want to buy from that company again unless they make good.

I saw this movie for the first time from that video rental place. It was the best movie of the year to me. I have viewed over two thousand (2000) movies. The story is well written, simple and easy to understand albeit the accents may be difficult for virgin English ears. Its simplicity is partly what adds to its appeal. It is fun to watch and you will find yourself engrossed and on the floor dancing to the beats. I own the soundtract, too. however, it doesn't have the tract that was played after UK talks to Sofi's father and asks for her hand. That was a hauntingly inspiring piece. Get and/or Watch this for your greatest pleasure. You will be pleased!!!
