The sizing on this uniform may not be what you're expecting. PLEASE be sure to check our size charts to make sure you're going to get a good fit as we want to save you the trouble of doing an exchange. (though we DO have the best exchange policy in the industry!)

This is a double weave uniform for Judo, Jiu-Jitsu and Aikido. This kimono has a traditional "rice-grain" weave for the top and reinforced pants for durability. 100% cotton and made of 700 gram fabric, it includes pants with a traditional drawstring waist.

It was specifically designed to withstand intense grappling during training and competition. Seams are reinforced - especially in the shoulders, lapel and sleeves - to ensure quality and durability.

Please note this is NOT a uniform intended for a beginning student. We strongly recommend that you consider a single weave uniform first simply because they cost less (though if money is not an significant limitation, you'll love this one instead).

Since this is normally for an intermediate or advanced student, a belt is NOT included with this uniform. However, we do carry belts which are colored, heavier or with BJJ rank sleeves as separate items.

This particular uniform tends to run a little bit large compared to other brands of double weave uniforms. Please be sure to check the size charts and if you are between sizes, we recommend you go with the smaller size. We also have the arms and legs made a little extra long to allow the uniform to be tailored to fit after washing.

Unfortunately, Amazon no longer displays size charts for anything except "apparel items" such as t-shirts and pants. Keep in mind that a size "2" and size "A2" are note the same. Please contact us for sizing information if you're not certain what you need.

I just purchased the piranah double weave black gi and it is great! It is a super thick very well made gi with a thick and durable collar. The collar and lapel are reinforced well. I compared this gi to my lucky and gameness gi, and was very impressed. The piranah gi is a 700g thick gi, which I think is of equal is not greater thickeness than the lucky and gameness. I was reluctant to purchase this gi because for the price, it seemed too good to be true. Well, this gi is not only a "good gi for the price" but a "great gi- period, no matter what the price." This gi is easily comparable to any upper priced gi on the market and could carry the same retail price. I highly recommend purchasing the double weave piranah gi- you will be pleasantly suprised with the quality, workmanship, COST, and top-notch customer service. I'll be a loyal Piranah customer from now on!!

The jacket is pretty good, but not the product displayed on the image. Jacket is a little long; I'm 6' 3" and the A4 was almost down to my knees. Pants are thin, but standard sizing. Does not come with a belt.
