About the Author

CHRISTIAN BRAUN, based in Mannheim, Germany, has been practicing various forms of Martial Arts for 20 years. Amongst other things he is a Grand Master in Jiu-Jitsu (5th Dan). He is the holder of further Master titles in traditional Jiu-Jitsu systems and is an instructor in Progressive Fighting Systems, Madunong Guro in Eskrima and Luta-Livre. For several years he has instructed on national courses throughout Germany for the German Jiu-Jitsu Association, and has officiated as the main instructor for instructor training for the German Association

The pictures are the best I have seen in any standard martial arts book. The book is well organized and detail of the steps for each technique are clear and easy to follow. Some of the closeups I would rather have had on another part of the technique but that is it. The colors work well so as to not be confusing to the reader as to seeing what is happening. Some of the techniques are not street applicable and more for a gym and very elementary. Great book overall though.
