About the Author

JO GARTIN founded Love Luck and Angels, in 2002 after discovering her talents while planning her own wedding. Her work as been featured in many magazines, including Self, Lucky, and Women’s Wear Daily. She is a regular contributor to InStyle and InStyle Weddings. A former model, this Australian style maven has blessed brides with a fresh and much needed twist to the traditional wedding celebration. She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.

The new InStyle has excerpts from this book - beautiful photos of bouquets that caught my eye - so I decided to check it out. My sister-in-law has asked for help with her wedding and this book is chock full of simple, elegant, modern ideas. Fresh and fun - like it's being planned by a cool friend and not your mom! We are totally using Gartin's ideas for gift baskets - the coolest I've seen so far and invites: hers are elegant, never stuffy. My only issue with the book: why isn't it bigger?

My friend just got engaged, I wanted to find the perfect book.There are so many out there that are all the same, boring and not very helpful unless you have a million dollars. I was so excited to come across this book. Wow, it's gorgeous! Not only is it stylish, but there are so many amazing ideas ,that you feel you can really plan your wedding without having to spend alot of money. The author seems to have so many tricks up her sleeve, I hope she puts out another book so I can learn even more. It's young, sophisticated and really unique.
My only qusetion is why is it on sale ? I loved it and so did my friend. I will recommend it to everyone. Thank you for putting out a great book.

Reluctantly, I read some of the litany of literature my fiance (now- wife) picked up for our nuptials. This was the only book that was not only useful, practical and informative, but beautifully laid out and laden with gorgeous pictures and illustrations. Needless to say, I still get grief from both my literary and hunting buddies for reading it cover to cover, but it is the book I'm buying for ALL my friends who are marching down the aisle anytime soon. I feel kind of cool for having read it early on, as I'm absolutely certain it will become the book of choice for all engaged couples.
