Love this little timer - and it works great.

It never rings, bings, or makes any other kind of alarm sound.

I tried it out and it seemed to work alright.

I bought this cute little egg timer to use for time-outs with my son. First thing I did was draw a black mark where "0" was because it's difficult to see it. I tried it out and it seemed to work alright. However, less than 24 hours after we got it, it was already broken. Something inside would rattle and you can't take it apart to see if you could fix it so, needless to say, it's just a piece of cute junk. I ended up buying a basic plain $5 kitchen timer that did the job this timer was supposed to do.

It's not loud at all when it rings. I also don't trust the exact timing because there are no clear markings to line up the numbers. It's cute, though.

The egg timer has a cute expression, but it's difficult to see where the timer ends its rotation when you set it. We had to add a black dot to accomplish that.

This timer works well and rings loudly. It works well for me, but if you need to measure time very precisely I would use a digital one.

NOTE: Contrary to some of the negative reviews, this timer rings very well. You simply have to follow the directions and wind it up all the way (i.e., twist the timer all the way around then twist it back to the time you need).

This little guy may be cute- but he didn't last a whole day in our house. He was going to be used to help manage bed-time routine. The 3 y/o turned him once or twice and that was it- no more egg timer.

AVOID! Received the timer last Thursday and tried it few times. The timer simply stops after time is up and the alarm NEVER fires. The measured time was EXTREMELY imprecise as well.

This little timer is very cute. But since the purpose that I bought the timer for was to get the exact minute/second, I was disappointed. As other reviewers indicated, it's very hard to tell exactly where the setting is and you'd certainly not be able to set this for half minutes (2.5 minutes). If you want to set it for 3 minutes and don't care if it's off +- 20 seconds, than I would say you'd be happy with this. We now use it at my house to indicate how long the kids will clean up or for time outs and it's fine for that. I have a more exact timer in the kitchen.

This was the biggest waste of money. It never worked. It can tick for several hours even though it is supposed to tick up to an hour. It never rings, bings, or makes any other kind of alarm sound. Sure, it looks cute but it doesn't work. Sometimes we cannot even turn it to shut the thing off; it just keeps ticking and ticking and ticking and ticking...
