"If you're going to get one casting book, get this one, period, exclamation point."--Fly Rod & Reel

From the Back Cover

This remarkable book is for everyone who fishes with a fly rod - or wants to learn. With a fly rod, fishing for trout, salmon, bass, pike, panfish, or saltwater gamefish can become the most exciting kind of sport there is.Joan Wulff's Fly Casting Techniques pioneers a set of casting "mechanics" and offers precise descriptive terms of every part of the cast. There are sections on line speed, improving accuracy and distance, loop control, shooting lines, aerial mending, the double haul, correcting common mistakes, and much, much more. This is the most comprehensive book ever written on fly casting - and it's for everyone from beginning to experienced anglers. (81/2 X 103/4, 256 pages, b&w photos, diagrams, charts)

5.0 out of 5 stars Masterpiece of Fly casting, January 10, 2001
This review is from: Joan Wulff's Fly-Casting Techniques (Paperback)
It' was a wonderful, wonderful world. I like very much Mrs. Joan Wulff. She was a master of fly casting and has been deepened by meet Lee Wulf. In this book, she is talking about everything of fly casting, so easily for novice with perfect theories. I specially impressed at section for handicapped person. I have never seen like that in any casting books. It was little short, but enough to make her thoughtfull person. It is small disappointment that there are few real photos, but so many illustrations cover it. I think, it would be better to buy a Joan's casting video tape with this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wealth Of Information, November 12, 2007
This review is from: Joan Wulff's Fly-Casting Techniques (Paperback)
No other fly casting book that I know of has so much detailed information about the techniques of fly casting. The book also contains a wealth of insight into how we can diagnose our casting defects. This book, however, might not be for everyone. Some of Joan's techniques are intially hard to understand and must be reread again and again. But I believe there is no substitute for studying this book. No wonder Joan was such a great casting champion.
