Another thing I cannot understand is how people can live in such filth!

I love hoarders. I find the show really entertaining and I love the happy endings. I turn it on when I need to get moving and clean up the house. It's a great motivation for me to get rid of stuff and reorganize everything!

I have background in Psychology and health care, and I am fascinated with this series. Part of it is my struggle to understand and relate to hoarding. Part of me is compelled to watch of, because I believe that I will eventually come to understand what causes a person to find more importance in trash or objects than other humans. I have watched 5 seasons, and I still can't understand, but I do feel sympathy for these people, and each episode I find myself hoping the person gets better.
Season 5 has quite a few interesting stories, and while there were some people that were impossible to like in previous seasons, the tragedies in the majority of the Season 5 subjects lives made it hard to judge them. I found myself tearing up on quite a few episodes. I also noticed a few new hoarding experts and more time being devoted to the organizers, and their difficulties in dealing with each hoarder. The only complaint I have about this season is the amount of time the film crew spent panning the camera towards turds. I know they are there the first time I see the shot, I don't need to see endless minutes of Turd Close Ups.

It is interesting to see all the things people collect and it's amazing that they can't give up their possessions no matter how bad their living conditions are. Can't believe there are so many people out there like this that hide it so well from everyone. Makes me just want to go out there and help them.

I have watched this series and I have found it to be informative and even entertaining at times. Thai is a very real disease and ironically after watching it I decided to go through my whole house and closets and got rid of years of things that didn't fit or knew I would never wear, or use. Thank you.

I love watching this show, because it gives me the feeling of having just cleaned my house from top to bottom without actually having to do anything.

I really like all the stories about hoarding and this season didn't disappoint me! I watch these to remind myself to keep sorting and pitching my own stuff so I don't end up like them. I like the ability to purchase the season and get to watch the next episode when it is released rather than wait until the season is over.
