A book that touches and helps heal with Biblical insights., December 29, 1998
This review is from: Job and Julian of Norwich: Trusting That All Will Be Well (Retreat with) (Paperback)
I am a member of the Order of Julian of Norwich, but this book speaks wonderfully to all of us. Ms. Luebering has chosen the essence of the Book of Job as the example of meaningless suffering. The words of Julian of Norwich provide compassion and response. The author also provides convincing personalities for Job and Julian. Each chapter is a session with useful questions for reflection at the end.

The Essence of What Religion is About, December 17, 2004
This review is from: Job and Julian of Norwich: Trusting That All Will Be Well (Retreat with) (Paperback)
This books ranks with Harold Kushner's "When Bad Things Happen to Good People" as a commentary on humanity's relationship with God and reconciling the notion of a loving God with the reality of human suffering. I am Catholic, and find the book very consistent with my faith, but I'm sure that any Christian would find this book edifying.
