PC Connection refused to hire a job applicant because the job-seeker had a sex change operation, according to a lawsuit filed earlier this month in U.S. District Court in Concord last week.
According to Brianne Cook's suit, a representative of the Merrimack-based company told her that she wasn't hired because she once applied as Brian Cook.
Cook, who told NHBR that she had a sex change operation in 2005, said that her gender change was a personal matter and that she didn't feel she had to disclose it unless asked. Cook maintained that it was the operation, not her lack of disclosure, that prevented her from working there.
