Within a few minutes of use, this thing had the driveway covered in oil! The pressure it produced is very strong, but it only sucked 1 qt of oil out of my mower! It went into the trash! Save your money and do it the old fashioned way!

The oil was thin (5w30) but this item could not pull it out. This is a trash. Amazon should ban this merchant.

I bought this to change the oil in my 2002 Honda Van. I messed up the oil pan when changing the oil once. I was able to get a larger plug to fit in the drain, but I'm afraid to take it out as I might not get a good seal.
So my new problem, how do I change the oil. I found this pump. It comes with a fat and thin tube. I am able to stick the thin tube down the dip stick tube and suck out the oil. Well, most of it anyway. I don't think I'm able to get it all out, but it's good enough for my situation. I've tried putting the tube down in the engine itself, but I can't really find a path past the crank case. My complaint about this product is simple. The DC adapter cord needs to be about a foot or more longer. This would be perfect for a small/compact car, but a larger van/truck, you have a hard time getting to where you need to go. Also, the tubes could be longer as well. I supposed I can extend both of these, but so far it hasn't been THAT big of an issue. I am able to drain about 4 qts of oil in my van in about 3-5 min. So the product works, although IF you can pull you drain plug, then that's a better way to change your oil. IF you can't like me, then something like this pump is necessary.

Don't waste your money on this piece of chineese junk. There has to be a better 12v oil pump out there some place.I hooked it up and it ran for about 2 minutes, it made a big hum, then quit running altogether. Take my advice and save your money.
