Would have given it 0 stars if I could. Clean your blinds the old fashion way, with a feather duster. Just a gimmick!!!

I happened to see this attachment in Wal-Mart and thought it sounded great -- I hate cleaning blinds. This was less than useless. The soft bristles collapsed and after the second blind, wouldn't go between the slats well at all. I could still see dust, which was the reason I was cleaning them in the first place. Grateful that I was able to return the item.

Although description says shutter and blind attachment, it won't work for shutters at all. My shutters are small and thin but they are still to big for this attachment.

Am using this with a small vacuum. I don't have to move things to dust. I just hold the attachment over an area and dust is swept in. I find it works well for cleaning small spaces.

This vacuum attachment has really surprised me how excellent it is for vacuuming dust, while no other particles are vacuumed. The item may be used ( bristles are very soft) also for windscreens, furniture, heating bodies, etc. For heating bodies, long bristles come to every corner and make a perfect job.

I have two door length wood blinds I bought this brush specifically to clean. I usually use a cloth and clean each individual slat one at a time. I thought this brush would be great for gently loosening the dust so my central vac could suck it away. Didn't work! First, neither the brush nor the adapter fit my hose. I had to use a tapering extension I bought separately. Second, the bristles are too long and soft. Third, the area where suction occurs is too large to sustain any meaningful suction. All things considered, I'll stick to my cloth.

My main problem is that the bristles are so soft, they get sucked up into my vacuum after a few blinds are done. I have a pretty powerful backpack vacuum, and it barely gets the dust at the back of the slat because the bristles are too soft to sir up dust. They get sucked backward into my hose, and all out of whack. I have to reduce vac pressure and pull them back out. I almost need a comb just to keep the bristles where they are supposed to be. maybe this item was just meant for weaker consumer vacs, but then I couldnt see them being strong enough to get the dust I could not even get.

I have read on a lot of pro cleaning forums to use a wide paintbrush to dust blinds, and I was hoping I could combine that technique and still be able to suck the dust up with this item. Close but not ideal.

If you close the blinds mostly, and use the attachment that way. being careful to get slightly under the overlapping blind, it works pretty good, but this is a slower process, and the whole point was to clean mor ethan one blind at a time.

That said, Ill probably use this until I find something better.

We had the Jobar mini-blind attachment in our former house and it worked so well with mini-blinds. Unable to find a similar attachment for standard sized vinyl blinds, we tried this. It doesn't work at all. The dust gets stirred up but isn't directed to the vacuum hose. A regular brush attachment works far better...and is included with standard vacuum accessories. Or use a wool duster, or a rag...ANYTHING works better than this.

Beats trying to dust. At least this sucks dust instead of just spreading it around.
