If you need compression socks, these will do the job. very sturdy and comfortable. easily hand-washed, and can be worn over another pair for extra compression if necessary. These are attractive. They don't look like support socks. Keeps feet and ankles from retaining water and swelling.

Achilles surgery and swelling. Don't know what made me buy these but sure glad I did. I swell really bad on my "surgery" foot and sometimes up the leg also, only on that one side. The dr said I will probably swell for up to 6 months or longer. Glad I found these as they keep the swelling down and make it possible for me to get around. Highly recommend these. Wore these not the 12 weeks after surgery but returning basck to work at a desk job. Even wearing them around home and short trips out, these are life savers.

Thes socks are great. I was worried they would be uncomfortable as I am very sensitive to materials and to tight clothing, but I love them. They did feel a tiny bit itchy when I first put them on but this didn't last. I wore them on my flight (the reason I bought them) but then left them on all day. They never felt too tight or uncomfortable and I liked the way they made my feet and legs feel so much I have been wearing them whenever I need to be on my feet a lot. Can't say yet how they hold up to laundering but I plan on buying several more pairs. They also look grest, not like "support" socks.

I am a nurse and work 12 hour days. These are great. I would not want to have to work without some type of support hose.
