Jodhaa Akbar (A.R.Rahman/ Oscar winner for Slumdog Millionaire / Indian Music/ Bollywood Movie / Indian Cinema / Hindi Film)

This is one of the recent super-hit classics by the legendary A.R.Rahman (he won Golden Globe for Slumdog Millionaire's music and now has received 3 Oscar nominations as well) for the magnum-opus film Jodhaa-Akbar. The music captures wide genres and is as magnificent as the film is. The song "Man Mohana" is one of my all-time favorite A.R.Rahman songs, in fact my whole family absolutely loves it. Azeem-o-Shaan is such grandeur a song, just play it on high quality surround system and feel the ride. Khwaja Mere Khwaja is a qawali (a spiritual song), and when it comes to this type of songs no one can match A.R.Rahman, this song is simply brilliant. In Lamhon grows on you like slow poison and then you cannot stop listening it. Jashn is a sweet love song with timeless melody. To sum it up this is an outstanding album by A.R.Rahman which a true music lover shall never miss.

I saw the movie Jodhaa Akbar a couple days ago and absolutely loved it. The music just adds to the atmosphere. Azeem is grand and epic. Inn Lamhon and Jashn are beautiful love songs that capture the mood and feelings of Jodhaa and Akbar.

This cd, although only 6 cuts, is the most played cd in my collection right now. The music is soothing and inspiring at the same time. If you liked the movie, you will love listening to the music. Beautiful!

Beautiful music from a bold, beautiful movie. This is one of my favorite Bollywood movies. Thanks to English subtitles you do not have to know the language to enjoy this beautiful story. I do not understand the words of the songs but they are not needed to appreciate the beauty of the feelings and emotions of the music. I highly recommend both the CD and the movie.

NOT SO MUCH TO SAY: AMAZING! I LOVED A LOT ASHUTOSH GOWARIKER'S MOVIE AND ALSO RAHAMAN'S MUSIC, THAT COMBINED TOGETHER COME TO PERFECTION. I SUGGEST TO SEE THE MOVIE TO APPRECIATE IN THE RIGHT WAY THE MUSIC.

I got this film on Netflix several years ago. I had been wanting to see the film sense 2007. I think the message in the film is very important and the music is superb. I left a comment that was wrong and I am sorry. The song where Jodhaa sings to Krishna is on the soundtrack. I can't wait for the cd to arrive in the mail. I have been wanting to buy the soundtrack for some time now. I think everyone who is a Bollywood music and film fan should see the film and hear the music. The costumes are amazing and so are the locations. If you like this film and soundtrack, you must see Guzaarish. The message in the film is also very important and the songs are so powerful. Some of the film is in English and part of the song "Sau Gram Zindagi" is in English. I saw it in the theater in Punjab, India and I own the soundtrack. Also, Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan star in this film. It is filmed in Goa,India. WaheGuru, Ashleigh

I enjoy well crafted and emotionally uplifting music no matter the language. The first song is the best and most moving off all the songs. My CD actually came with 2 CD's, the second had some extra features like the official trailer and cast information from the movie Jodhaa Akbar.I feel I got my money's worth and would recommend it.

I bought this DVD with a little trepidation, not sure what to expect as I've never seen Hithrik Roshan playing roles in period/historical settings. But, as usual the
versatile Hithrik delivers with his fine performance of Akbar,looking every bit as regal and with great presence as you would imagine Akbar would be. Aishwarya complements him well,better than with any other actors which I've seen in her other movies. No Hindi films will do without the song and dance routine and Jodha Akbar is no different. But I've gotta say A.R.Rahman deserves the accolades of a Oscar winner in music score as all the soundtracks in this movie are simply awesome! I found myself humming to the music long after watching the movie, which was again and again,and even going as far as to purchase the CD for the soundtracks! Jodha Akbar is certainly a keeper in my collection.

This sound track is fabulous. Full of rhythm, and also gentleness. 10 stars! The movie is also great fun and one of my favorites. Very romantic.....and loosely based on history.
