Joe Cocker's music always sounds great. His gravelly voice puts an interesting spin on his songs.

This review is from: Joe Cocker - Greatest Hits [EMI] (Audio CD)
Joe Cocker is a great artist and musicians. However his vocals are not top notch and that hurts this otherwise stupendous record of his greatest hits. He sounds like he has something in his throat as he sings and the vocals sound forced and that is not a good thing. The book-let is a great piece of work and Cocker dresses well but he could need a new haircut or a wig. There are no lyrics either. Even so, after having said all this, it is a very good record and a perfect album to listen to whilst sipping on a roses gimlet after work. This is nice party music and it is music that does not offend the faintest heart and that can be played at cocktail parties and dinners.
