This beautiful book is an affordable Joe Coleman collectable. I enjoy this the most of any of his work. While some may find this book sacrilegious, I'd say their interpretation of Christ - if this book offends - is what's truly a sacrilege.While this book many not mirror the perspective of Christ, it certainly seems to capture the agony of the crucifixion saga in a human perspective - even if that human is a little out of the ordinary. An entire picture of the crucifixion is first presented, then it's component elements are presented in individual die cuts from sections of the paining; each picture's individual story is told by Coleman in a font obviously based on his handwriting. Gold text printed on black paper. 18 tipped-in plates.
