good rock songs,
By A Customer
This review is from: Joe Dirt (Audio CD)
I loved this movie more than I thought I would. I think they should have included a few more songs from the movie on the soundtrack. The song when Joe and Brandy are playing around with the dog is also Eddie Money and it's called, "I think I'm in Love".

Good Rock--But Missing Seger!!,
This review is from: Joe Dirt (Audio CD)
Aww man...this could have been a great soundtrack, but unfortunately it is missing probably the greatest song from the movie..."Rambin' Gamblin' Man", by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. But, other than this glaring ommission, it does have some great rock tunes! But this one, but also go and buy Seger's "Greatest Hits"!

Another forgotten favorite,

Just like other reviews have stated, they missed a few good songs out of this soundtrack. One song I notice was The Doobie Brothers' "Listen to the Music." This song was playing in the beginning when Joe tells about how he became friends with Brandy and Charlie, and they're dancing by the barn door. It's weird since they put in "China Grove."

PRETTY GOOD CD EXCEPT IT MISSES A FEW TRACKS,
This review is from: Joe Dirt (Audio CD)
OVERALL I LIKED THIS CD, IT HAS ALOT OF GREAT CLASSIC TUNES, BUT IT'S ONLY FLAW IS THAT IT DIDNT INCLUDE EVERY SONG IN THE MOVIE. THE REAL REASON I BOUGHT THIS CD WAS FOR CHEAP TRICK'S " IF YOU WANT MY LOVE" AND FOR 38 SPECIAL " HOLD ON LOOSLEY" AND SHERIFF'S "WHEN I'M WITH YOU". AND I WAS PISSED CUZ IT DIDNT HAVE THAT 38 SPECIAL SONG. I WISHED I COULD HAVE NOTICED THAT EALIER BUT THERE WAS A STICKER BLOCKING THE SONGS LISTED, SO I ASSUMED IT WAS ON THIS CD. BUT I NOTICE A FEW OTHER TRACKS MISSING LIKE BOB SEGER AND LEAF GARRETT. I THOUGHT IT WAS KINDA ODD THAT THEY WOULDNT BE INCLUDED BECAUSE THERE'S STILL PLENTY OF ROOM TO FIT THEM ON THE ALBUM. BUT I GUESS IF YOU CAN DEAL WITH THOSE MISSING TRACKS THEN GO FOR IT, IF NOT THEN LOOK ELSE WHERE.

Answering Machine/Overlooking Silvertown,
By
This review is from: Joe Dirt (Audio CD)
The song that comes on when Joe leaves a message for Brandi and Kid rocks erases it. Next seen is Joe overlooking Silvertown and walking towards it. The song is "Burning For You" by Blue Oyster Cult.

Could someone enlighten me as to what the song is that is playing once Joe decides to go home from his old house in Louisiana. Kid Rock then proceeds to delete the message followed by Joe overlooking Silvertown. Group/song name anyone?

Hmm, I don't think it's complete...,

First of all, the songs ON the cd are excellent songs, for the most part. (i don't know about all that eddie money stuff though.) I think the movie could have (should have) had better songs to represent Joe Dirt. MORE Skynyrd and Southern Rock bands like The Allman Brothers, ZZ Top, Marshall Tucker Band, etc. would have been better. I think that song at the very end of the movie when Joe Dirt and the gang are riding off into the sunset should have been included as well, Funk 49 by James and The Gang.
But, all in all, it is a decent soundtrack.

Okay, I'm not the most avid fan of classic rock, but I have to say that the Joe Dirt motion picture soundtrack is a well put together collection of popular rock stand-bys. Of course, the main reason I purchased it was because of the Lynard Skynard classic, "Sweet Home Alabama", which I had stuck in my head from watching Joe Dirt. The movie is a laugh riot, if you haven't seen it, you really should. The cd is a collection of great rock tunes and is worth the price that is stuck to it.

Missing Song,
By A Customer
This review is from: Joe Dirt (Audio CD)
great soundtrack overall, however I cannot for the life of me find one song that was played in the movie, yet was unlisted in the credits. The song was played when Joe picks up the carnival girl for their date. Can someone please help.

I really enjoyed the music from this movie. There is one song on it that I have not had any luck in finding. The song is when Brandy & Joe are goofing around together. It goes "somethings got a hold on me now". Can anyone help.
