I had high hopes for this product but I only got to use it twice before it wore down to an unusable nub. Other reviews stated using this item for three years--- What, did you have it in storage? In real use, on a moderate size lawn, don't expect to use it more than a couple of times before it wears out, and this is UNACCEPTABLE. Also, expect to spend about an hour figuring out how to install it on your weed trimmer; the instructions are horrible and pretty much useless.

Terrible product. The Sun Joe trimmer and these blades do not work as promised. When the blade touches grass, the trimmer shuts down. I was refunded promptly.

I originally bought one of these replacement blades over 2 years ago. I am now ordering a replacement due to the original wearing out. I would definitely prefer to go through one of these blades every couple of years as opposed to dealing with string related issues. The only issue I have with this blade is that if it gets bogged down due to obstructions, the grass trimmer engine stops. This requires me to restart the trimmer. Not a big issue and I can live with it. Give this blade a try and you won't be disappointed.

I read 2 types of reviews for this blade. Either people LOVED it or HATED it. I have had a SUnJoe trimmer for about a year now and I wore down my first blade FAST. The reason was I used it like a string trimmer and got up against the hard surfaces around my yard and these blades are rubber and will wear down quickly.
You have to turn the Sun Joe at a slight angle down when you're up against a hard surface and you can get an incredibly clean edge and excellent job.
Before you complain or call this item a POS, read the manual or just use the advice here - it works and it works very well when used correctly.

I may revise this review if I ever get the thing attached, but even though I have a SunJoe trimmer, I cannot figure out how to get this blade attached! The blade's instructions say to see the trimmer's instructions for removing the knob; OK, I see their point there. The SunJoe trimmer, however, does not include such instructions! Why would they direct you to the trimmer's instructions when their very own trimmer does not have such instructions? There's also no Sun/SnowJoe support on the weekends, and when else does one use one's lawn equipment? I am severely annoyed. It shouldn't be this hard to attach the thing.

Oh, and the packaging was awful! The first one I got was rolling around in the box outside its package, so I returned it to Amazon, saying I wanted one I was sure hadn't been opened. The second fell out of its packaging as I opened the box! Something should stay in its package until *I* open it.

This blade had better work *stellarly* or it will not have been worth all the hassle I've gone through just trying to get it and get it installed.

I used this item once, for an average size yard and the so called "blade" wore down to nothing. I used it per instructions and was careful not to hit cement. I think the plastic cannot hold up to Saint Augustine or other tough grass. What a joke and a waste of money!!!!

This is the 3rd year I've ordered these "blades" for my weedeater. They are great and do a wonderful job as my choice of string replacement.

my blade arrived poorly packaged and missing the washers- i contacted the manufacturer and they quickly mailed them to me. blade works great and seems to hold up well so far...
