JOE TEX WAS A GREAT SOUL SINGER THAT HARDLY ANYBODY REMEMBERS ANYMORE. WHETHER HE WAS SINGING A GREAT BALLAD LIKE "I WANT TO (DO EVERYTHING FOR YOU)", OR BELTING OUT A TUNE LIKE "I GOTCHA", LIKE WILSON PICKETT, HE MADE SOME GREAT SOUL MUSIC. GREAT ALBUM, BUT ONLY ABOUT TWELVE SONGS ON IT.

This cd contains all of the biggest hits that Joe recorded. He had other hits but they weren't as big as these. Joe was a great rival to James Brown. At his live performances he would-some say- out dance James Brown. If you're looking for the classic southern soul sound of the 60's you've found it. Enjoy.
