Having purchased all of the GI JOE weapon tech sets, I was disappointed in this one. The pieces are very authentic and match thier real-life counterparts. One big problem though - the pices don't stay together. The barrel guards (part that you hold on the barrel) just slips off the main housing. Also the magazine will not stay firmly in place. IT JUST WON'T STAY TOGETHER! If you are looking to purchase a weapon tech toy, I would get the H&K G-36 or the LR-300 AR.

This toy is great for children 5 - 13 yerars old. The fact that the toy can be taken apart and comes with accessories is a gret thing. I don't think that any kid would be unhappy with this toy (this was writtn by a kid!!!)

When we ordered this product we thought we were getting a gun that was bigger (guess I need to read the fine print on size). There should be a disclaimer next to the photo. The worst thing was the sad looks on boy's faces when we opened the box.

well i bought these thinking the kids will have fun with these. they come in the mail the kids are so excited. then they see the box and look on they're faces was undescribeable. then one said that maybe they came in two boxes and the other wasn't here yet. But they opened the box to find action figure size guns..... i am not happy and neither are my kids. so, if you are looking for a gun that the kids can play with it's not this one.

This toy is fantastic. I own it and several more sets of different toy rifles of the same scale. I'm an adult and it's still fun just to sit down sometimes and play with all the different configurations. Advice: This is a TOY, it DOES NOT fire anything. It is meant to be used with the 13" or so G.I. Joe action figures. It is 3 INCHES long. I hope that anyone who is interested in this toy will read this to get the facts straight because I agree that Amazon does not give a good enough description of this item.

I bought this thinking it would be life size but when it go to my house I was completey frusterated when I got this 3 inch long GI JOE gun. Ihave tried a few toy guns, but this is clearly the worst.

this item is very bad it breaks in less then 2 wekks don't waste your money.

I have purchased most of the weapons made under this label and this one shows notable improvement over previous designs. It carries more metal pieces, the pieces fit together tightly, and the overall look is more polished. Like the other items in the series it displays nicely alone or on 12" figures, it is very easy to put together (hardly any effort), and it compares very well in quality of manufacturing with more expensive makers like Dragon, Blue Box, and Armoury. This is a good item for adult collectors of 1/6 scale weapons but probably too fragile for the normal wear and tear of kid's use, and that's the reason I don't think it should be rated for educational value. Unfortunately, the system requires a rating and I gave it the lowest possible.
