5.0 out of 5 stars Joe keeps his promise of making good music
When you keep in mind that Joey Lawrence was just about to turn 17 when his debut album was released 2nd February 1993 it absolutely showes that he had (and still has) talent in this field. Containing a wide variety of music styles the album absolutely has range and has something for just about every age group. Those that have followed this young actor/singer (becoming 25...

3.0 out of 5 stars Joey Lawrence is the man
This album rules, I bought it becasue I have a gay friend named jason smith who wears the same outfit as joey on the cover. I have caught him dancing on several occasions. One time he was walking in with his high school diploma his parents and family friends were there to congratulate him. The lawrence album was blarring in the background, the smith household was jumping...

When you keep in mind that Joey Lawrence was just about to turn 17 when his debut album was released 2nd February 1993 it absolutely showes that he had (and still has) talent in this field. Containing a wide variety of music styles the album absolutely has range and has something for just about every age group. Those that have followed this young actor/singer (becoming 25 years of age this year) for a while will also know his second album "Soulmates" from 1997, also with a wide variety of music and showing how Joey Lawrence's music is maturing. Especially notable is the melody "Time" which is even now played quite frequently in these parts of the world, four years after it was released. Both his self-titled album and "Soulmates" are absolutely worth a listen.

I just got the joey lawrence cd & I am telling you that this guy can sing. He has such an amazing voice that it is even hard to tell that it his him. All of the songs are awesome on here. I listened to it over & over again. I would have to say my favorite song is nothin' my love can't fix. I remember years ago when the song came out. They played the video at the end of a blossom episode & I thought it was so great. I did purchase the tape years ago but it messed up. Now I finally got it back. If you get this cd I promise you that you won't regret it.

Not only can homeboy sing me to sleep (with a tear running down my pimply cheek). But he can rock the house when he "kicks da smoove groove." Oh man does Joey make me go WHOA!!! His silky skin is as delicious as his catchy songs. Run out and by this album right now!!! Oh, and by the way... is Joey still alive?

5.0 out of 5 stars Single handedly makes the 90's important., December 19, 2005
This review is from: Joey Lawrence (Audio CD)
I picked up this masterpiece at goodwill on cassette for .99 cents. To put it lightly, I have 360'd my sex life around after this purchase. "How did you do this?" you ask... well, to make a long story short, I simply copied Joey Lawrence every way possible, and the lady-slump was over. I even had my grandma-ma knit me a vest just like the one he's wearing on the album cover. I do karaoke at the local bars, and I don't want to brag or anything, but all the mid-aged asian women are totally digging me. I wear the patent-pending Joey Lawrence vest, Georgio Brutini slacks, and some imitation polo sport (I'M NOT PAYING FOR THE LABEL!)that gets all the ladays worked up. I'm gonna go ahead and end this review by saying, you don't need hitch(you know, a hip talking african american) to get ladays, you just need this feel good album from 93.

p.s. if you can't get a vest like in the picture, a leather members only jacket will make a good substitute, good luck!

5.0 out of 5 stars you won't look like a dork!, June 25, 2000
This review is from: Joey Lawrence (Audio CD)
My friends snicker when they see Joey's cd in my collection but hey, it's really not bad. Serious. very catchy tunes and yes, he REALLY can sing. Yes this cd is full of teeny bopper chintz but that's what's so cool about it! it's a worth while guilty pleasure. I bought it new in 1993 and still listen to it. Funny thing is, when i play it most people like it! when i tell them who it is, they stopped snickering.
