Product Description

The Ceramic Speakers are made from materials more associated with sculpture than electronics, and offer a remarkably simple path from source to ear. Their 4- Inch full-range drivers and Tripath amplifier create a sound that’s warm, dry, and detailed. The Ceramic Speakers will show the difference between lossless and mp3 files, and will unlock vinyl’s richness. Simple Materials, the Ceramic Speakers are made from porcelain, cork, and Baltic birch. Each material is minimally finished, left to add its natural beauty to the design. The included amplifier is made from stainless steel sheet metal, with a cast iron base and paulownia volume slider. Aside from the electronic components, plastic is completely avoided in the system’s construction. Intense detail, typical speakers are designed to play even the most compressed or poorly recorded track. They gloss over the details that give high-resolution music its depth. The Ceramic Speakers’ custom-made drivers, porcelain and cork enclosures, and Tripath amplifier reveal every nuance. They will show the difference between lossless and mp3 files, and will unlock vinyl’s richness. System includes, one year warranty on all electronics and enclosures, two ceramic speakers, amplifier based on the Tripath 2024 T-Amp with gold-plated binding posts, 1/8- Inch input, cast iron base, 16-gauge oxygen-free copper speaker cables with banana plug terminatio, interconnects for RCA and 1/8- Inch sources, 120V-240V power supply and adapter (works with US, EU, and Australia/ Asia power mains)

These speakers are a beautiful piece of industrial design, made with rich natural materials. They exude quality and style. The aesthetics are completely unmatched by any small speaker system, not to mention any but the most unobtainable audiophile large speaker systems. However, the sound quality is just decent. They are clear but lack any low end whatsoever. They don't even have a good solid mid-range. Pairing with a sub would be the best way to go if you expect a full range sound. Mr. Roth, how about a ceramic sub with a clean connection to the exiting system?

Received the speakers a couple days ago, and am delighted with them.
Exactly what i was hoping for, simple, sobre yet clean design. These ceramic speakers are very well thought, they look beautiful on my desk, merging utility and looks.
When I got them plugged and tried them I was equally surprised by the sound quality and to be honest, their power, I wouldn't have thought initially that these speakers could be so powerfull, but they do pack a punch!

In all honesty, a great buy if looking to marry design/look with sound and material quality.

If i had to change one thing, it would be the wood of the base, it just feels like it would deserve to be made from a more precious wood, speakers and main base inspire toughness and quality alright though.

Many thanks Joey for a great product I am very satisfied with.

Have had my eyes on Joye Roth's porcelain speakers since I stumbled across the prototype some years ago. And now finally they are in my home.
Absolutely beautiful - and yes the sound is great as well for a stereo this size.

These guys are just totally gorgeous.. They look so nice in my house... And they sound pretty great too. Considering there's no subwoofer, I think the low end is actually quite pronounced. A lot of it depends on format and genre. To really here the speakers shine, go with a nice copy of your favorite 70's soul album.

I was intrigued upon seeing the speakers and the "professional" reviews. So I ordered a pair. I liked the way they were shipped and the way they looked out of the box. Setup was not that simple as the banana plugs took some effort to seat. After a year the speakers still don't sit exactly right into their slots, though the sound has just gotten better and better. To me, these speakers are perfect for Jazz, New Age, Pop, and even Doo Wop. The one main, big complaint I have is the plug from the amp to my laptop or IPod. There appears to be a lot of wiggle room in the amp receptacle and if not seated just right I lose the left channel. Sometimes it takes me awhile to get the cord to sit just right and then I don't want to jar the desk and risk losing the left channel. Again. I contacted Joey Roth soon after setting up my speakers and told him how much I liked them. He came back saying he was happy I was happy. Later I tried to contact him/company about my problem and what I could do to fix and have heard nothing back. These speakers are unique, look good sitting on a desk with a laptop or IPod, and sound great. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone to likes Jazz and needs a desktop speaker system. Except for this little left channel thing. For me, I'll be getting a new laptop this Summer and I guess I'll be getting a new set of desktop speakers.
