I got this as the free app of the day back in late October.
I was recently playing this game, but I could not figure out how the Silverbeam and Wunderbar brooms are supposed to work. I understand you have to have 3 potions for both of these brooms to activate their magical powers, but even after I collected 3 potions, nothing seems to happen when I press the left (magic) side of the screen.
There is also no pause button in this game, and you have to score so much in one game to unlock the next level which is rather difficult even on the easy setting.
Because of the above issues, I am giving this one a 3 out of 5 stars.
UPDATE: I just figured out how to get the 2 brooms mentioned above to work. Apparently you have to earn 3 potions with that broom and cannot use potions you earned in previous games.
Even with those brooms' magical powers, I find the game to still be almost as difficult to play. Therefore, I am leaving my rating at 3 stars.

Picked up the game for free during it's App of the Day back in October. I had already tried the free version so Ad Free is always nice. I thought the game was kind of So-so but I did like the graphics, which reminded me of old Windows 3.x games and some of the sillier games on older macs.
The game isn't revolutionary or anything but it has a few nice twists to it that the maker didn't bother to really highlight in instructions or the like. Your magic potions are carried over from run to run, so you can save them up over the course of time, and go on a run where you can use magic like crazy.
Heck, if you want to make sure you save your magic, you can even use the original broom without magic options so that you don't trigger them by accident... which actually makes the plain character not only viable, but sometimes a preferred choice. The challenges are hard, but not impossible, especially with the ability to save up magic.
The game lacks a soundtrack, which is a pity, because if there was a sound track to match the changes in scenery as you progress through the game, it would probably create much more immersion. The sounds that are there are very silly, but absolutely match the style of graphics.
Another possible improvement would be to put a magic trigger button on the screen somewhere that is easy to notice at when holding the device with one hand, probably the lower left corner of the screen, so that you can continue to tap with your right finger (or stylus) on the other side of the screen easily. Sure, tapping the potions themselves works, but they are in a somewhat awkward position to get at.
It's an amateur made game with default text that's only colored for menus, but there are a lot of nice little touches, and where I didn't think I'd play it that much initially, giving it another go has helped me appreciate it. You could say it's grown on me a bit.

Alright, I realize that it's a holiday game, but all you really do is fly the broom. Up & down & avoid the obstacles. It gets old fast.

Super Simple
Even though its really simple you still want to play to see if you can unlock the other brooms.And the time changes as you go along with different obstacles/animals.
