5.0 out of 5 stars A must buy for baroque lovers., January 16, 2001
This review is from: Johann Pachelbel: Musicalische Ergötzung (Musical Entertainments) for 2 Scordato Violins & Continuo - Les Cyclopes (Audio CD)
January 17, 2001. This collection, along with Biber Harmonia Artificiosa Ariosa and Reincken Hortus Musicus , sums up the seventeen century chamber music. Manfredo Kraemer and friends play with their customary panache and rythmic thrust, doing excellent service to the music. Pachelbel is a more cosmopolitan figure than Biber and his music is a delight. Both share the use of scordatura but for different purposes. Highly recommended.
