Don't get me wrong, this is a terrific book. David McCullough has written another winner. And Edward Herrmann is still my favorite narrator of audio books. But the engineers must have been on strike because all throughout this audio book you can hear Mr. Herrmann breathing through his nose, smacking his lips and exhaling.Still, I'm glad I purchased this audio book in spite of the strange recording. It's wonderful.

It took 3 car trips to listen to this book!!! It was interesting and my whole family learned many things! The woman's voice who sometimes added fill in information was a big surprise! She isn't noted in the description, but she should have been!

This is the best narrated, of a great writing of David McCullough. Strongly reccomended to anyone who wants to learn about our founders, cause when you hear the story of John Adams, you'll learn about Washington, Jefferson, & Franklin.
