Other than the ubiquitous "Short Ride", I had only known these compositions by their favorable reputations. Although one might already have owned Rattle's "The Chairman Dances" from an earlier incarnation, a disc of Minimalist "greatest hits" is self-recommending, especially from the Boomer [now 60 year old!] Adams. The depth of the sound quality and its freshness makes it seem as if EMI recorded it yesterday!
