THE DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO ST. JOHN'S BEACHES.,
By HulaHead (Virginia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The St. John Beach Guide (Paperback)
You should definitely try to buy this book before your trip to St. John. It contains info on 40 different beaches and snorkeling sites that you won't find anywhere else. By using it I located a short trail that led me to the most breathtaking and secluded beach I've ever seen. It was unbelievable! I never would have known about it without this book. While some of the same information on the beaches can be found interspersed in Singer's "St. John Off the Beaten Track," it's much easier to bring this smaller, more concise guide with you when you're actually looking for the beaches. I highly recommend both books if you can get them. Have fun in St. John!

St John Beach Guide,

This review is from: The St. John Beach Guide (Paperback)
I purchased this book on our 2nd trip to St John, and it is by far, the only and best book describing the 52 beaches in St. John -- including how to get there, some tips, walking conditions (some are hard to get to), quality of snorkeling, etc. We found some wonderful, private beaches - my copy is so dogearred, water stained, I might have to buy another one for your trip this year!

Complete, concise and informative,

This review is from: The St. John Beach Guide (Paperback)
This book offers the most complete review of St. John's beaches that I've ever found. All the guidebooks and tourist pamphlets just touch on the surface of what St. John has to offer. If you're planning a trip to S.t John, you shouldn't go without taking this book with you.

A well-written and concise guide to exploring the many beautiful beaches of St. John, written by someone who lives there and knows the island very well. It was a big help to me when I traveled there.

What a fabulous book! The photos alone make the book worth buying but the text (including directions) make it an indispensable beach guide for a trip to St. John.
I bought this book the week before we went and spent the plane ride mesmerized by it!

A St. John must!,

I was referred this book by the manager of the b&b I was staying in st. john and I loved it! I would read it during breakfast every day to determine which beach I would go to that day. I chose to explore beaches I would never have even thought of if it weren't for the book. It is a St. John must, especially if you love beaches. Enjoy the sun!

Outstanding!,
By Diane Hall (Hillsboro, MO USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: St. John Beach Guide (Paperback)
For anyone that enjoys the beauty of pristine beaches, but is confused in which to choose, this book offers page after page photos along with descriptions of in and out of water conditions, along with directions to locations. As a five time visitor to St. John, I now realize how narrow my spectrum has been, and intend to explore the many before missed charms of St. John. I enjoyed this beach so much, that I purchased two additional ones as gifts for friends. If you are planning to visit St. John or are trying to decide which island to choose, this book is a must.

This is one of a few books I purchased for my honeymoon to the Virgin Islands. As in other books, it seems that the books on St. John are always the best. This book is a nice guide to the beaches of St. John. I don't think it is the best or most thorough guide out there, but the photographs really bring this book on an even keel with others like St. John : Feet, Fins and Four Wheel Drive.
I think more important is that the photos in the book and the very concise beach guide make a nice coffee table book for after the trip when you want to show off the places you went. St. John really is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and unlike other travel guides, which you would probably get rid of once the trip is over, this one is one you'll want to keep forever just for the photos and memories.

The photography in this book is perfect to get you in the mood to visit this beautiful island. If you want more detail about the culture, history, trails, and other things to do, Feet, Fins, and Four-Wheel Drive is a must to be "in the know" when you get there.

This is a "must have" book if you travel to St John in the US Virgin Islands. We saw more beaches than we would have ever known about without this book. If you like to snorkel, you need this book to make the most out of your vacation. This was the best vacation we ever had!
