I'd remembered this book from years ago and wanted to get it for my granddaughter to give to her along with other things centered around early Thanksgivings. Although there are other books about Squanto, our family is actually related to John Billington, so that part was important. Received the book quickly. Although used, it is in very good condition, and I'm sure she'll love reading it. This was the first time I'd used the option of buying a used book through Amazon.com, and I'd definitely do it again.

I purchased this book based on a rave comment in Michelle Miller's "TruthQuest History" guide, "American History for Young Students I." In it, she said "Boys especially love this book! Don't miss it!"

I enjoyed pre-reading it before giving it to my son.

A week or so ago, while trying to find something for him to read, we re-discovered this on our bookshelves. He began reading it reluctantly, upon my insistence. Before his required 30 minute reading time was up, he was very excited about this book. He completed it in his free time, and even now that he is done with it, brings it up to me as a topic of conversation. He read some of it aloud to his three year old brother last night as they were going to sleep. Highly recommended, especially for boys!
