I received this game about a week ago and as a person who used to work on a farm and love everything associated with farming, this game can get addicting. I have a half way decent computer and it runs well, once in a while I get a glitch, but for the most part the game play makes it worth it. I like this better than the other John Deere games because it gives you more control over actually "farming" your fields.

I actually have fun mowing the lawn too! Just an all around fun game on a rainy day.

This game is perfect to practice patience, but talking in a good way. Have you seen some Tibetan monks drawing on sand to bring the inner peace?,well ,this game has most of it but with machines.

The graphics are really cool and all the farmer environment is really nice captured with nice views.Maybe there is not much to say about this game, only that is basically more for adults than young guys because it hasn't the attractive of others actions games. Remember, this is a simulator, but you don't have to kill anyone, just to give you an idea of a Farmer's life.

It is a nice game indeed!

I have been waiting for a farming game in first person view for a while now. Drive Green is a great game but anyone can start to point out the areas for improvement immediately. The biggest things I was disappointed with were the keyboard controls and the virtual tractor feels and drives nothing like a tractor. Other than that it is an easy and enjoyable game to play for all ages and I will continue to play it until the sequel.

I purchased John Deere Drive Green for my son as a Christmas gift. When I attempted to load it, I got an error message that I did not understand. I visited the Valusoft tech support website only to find no mechanism to contact a human. I finally found an email address to the sales department. I emailed sales, explaining my situation and that I understood sales couldn't help me fix my problem and that I was simply asking them to put me in contact with someone in tech support. I received a robotic reply stating that they couldn't help me and to visit the tech support site. I responded that I had and reterated that I simply wanted them to either provide contact info or forward my email to tech support. I received another email stating they couldn't forward my email to another department within their own company and there was no number that they could provide me for tech support. I will be happy to forward the email string to anyone who would like to see it. If this situation wasn't so pathetic, it would be almost comical. Customer service (and I use this term very loosely) in this company is a parody of itself.

The bottom line is that I will never purchase another product from this company and will use every opportunity to share with any potential customer that this company's customer service is completely substandard to virtually non-existant.

Let me just be basic.
Here's the bad points of the game:
1.Too few missions.
2.Too Boring Missions.
3.Not complicated enough. You own 4 or 5 fields and a forest. You can plant five crops. Each crop has its own field. You start out with the crops planted. You can harvest them and plant more, which gets boring. Ill talk about the forest in the good part, because the forest is why this game got a 3.
4.Unrealistic. You cannot enter the water(well, you can go a little bit into it), but you tractor can drive on water!
5.No MiniMap! This game would be 1.2 times more fun if it had a minimap.
6.No tutorial, but I was able to figure it out by myself.

Good Points;
1.The forest! You can explore the forest and look for t-rex bones! That was kind of cool. But you cant enter the forest until you buy a certain implement that can cross the bridge! You can't even cross the bridge!
2.You can buy implements too use on your farm! It was kind of fun earning up your tokens so you could buy them.

So let me just say it straight: You'd be better of buying Zoo Tycoon, Computer Risk or Computer Scrabble, or Nancy Drew Computer Games, which are fun games.

My 8 and 10 year old love this game, although after awhile I think they'll get bored with it. A lot of repetition driving around in fields, but they like that right now. Wish there were a few more farm games that were realistic.

The game is like the real farming world. We farm for a living, and my son acts like he is too while playing this game.

I bought this game a month ago and when i got it it was HARD at first, but after a fey days it was easy. this game shows you how it feels to be a real farmer.
I have to say though it needs more jobs.
