5.0 out of 5 stars John Doe, July 30, 2006

It was a shame that this show only lasted for 1 season - what a waste. Okay sometime the stories were cagey, but you felt for the character John Doe (Dominic Purcell), and you hoped he would get his memory back, and explain how he has his amazing gift. Especially in the last episode, there was a little twist when we find find out that one of his close friends was involved in the set-up.I am only putting this review in, as hopefully the networks may release this as a DVD collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great show!, April 6, 2007
This review is from: John Doe (DVD)
I am watching this show right now in re-runs on the Sci Fi Channel. This is a great show! The stories are character driven, exciting and always present a challenging twist. I love that the main character is a super genius yet has amnesia; I really want to know who this guy is. I know it must be something amazing and dangerous, like a super-spy, or some kind of science experiment gone wrong... And the main character's inter-relationships with the other characters are intriguing and keep the show moving. Never a boring moment. The simple fact that the main character is color blond and yet occasionally he sees strangers in color lends an almost mystical edge to the story, emphasizing the he is not an ordinary man and that is situation is not normal.

I will definately buy this on DVD if it is ever released.

5.0 out of 5 stars John Doe Season 1, February 13, 2008

This was a great series. I can't wait until it comes out on DVD. Dominic Purcell is a fabulous actor and really brought a lot of vulnerablity to his character. You really felt a lot of sympathy for this character. The plot was pretty good with a real shocker on the season finale. I really wanted to know what they were going to do with the Phoenix Group the next season and was disappointed it got cancelled. I would recemmend this to anyone who likes mystery and sci fi stories. It was pretty X Files in nature. John Doe - The Complete First Season
