Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Patent detailing on the vamp lends the bold Sigourney t-strap from John Fluevog a sporty edge that makes its classic silhouette even more versatile. You'll love the lift its chunky heel gives you, and its cushioned insole helps to make this shoe comfy as well as cute. Dust bag included.

From the Manufacturer

John and his longtime friend and ex-partner, Peter Fox, go waaaaay back. Before they founded Fox & Fluevog in 1970, they worked at Sheppard's, a venerable Vancouver shoe emporium, albeit a tad on the conventional side. As you can imagine, John and Peter felt a wee bit constrained, selling brogues all day to businessmen in suits and servicing only the occasional hipster. Then one day the miraculous happened, and it was followed by the inevitable: an old warehouse full of turn-of-the-century footwear (men's & women's, in mint condition, no less) became available at a ridiculously low price. In a nanosecond, John and Peter were out the door and into their own store, fully stocked with brand new fifty-year-old shoes that, in 1969, were right in style. Fox & Fluevog immediately became the very coolest place to treat the feet, and has remained so ever since. Around 1980, Peter heard the siren song of New York City and moved there to open his own store, specializing in design of ladies' (particularly wedding) shoes. John took over the business and built it into the multinational mega corporation it is today, along the way forging his undaunted reputation for the world's most distinctive shoes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super cute - but definitely size up a half size!, September 22, 2010

Really cute shoe - I definitely wanted the purple, so I got my regular non-Vog size of 6.5 since that's one of the only sizes that were left in purple. I have kind of wide feet, so it was a little squished in the toe bed, and there was no size 7 to exchange it for! Because of the pointy toe, I would definitely agree that if you have narrow feet you could go with your regular size, but if you don't go a half size up. Heel is a bit higher than most other Vogs, it definitely makes a statement and is chunky enough to feel secure. I would have exchanged, but had to return them :(

4.0 out of 5 stars So gorgeous!, March 29, 2010

Even if I never wear them, the money was worth it just to look at these beauties in my closet every day!

I typically wear a size 5, but the 6 fits me with a toe pad in place. My heel is right to the back, but it still gapes around the back of my heel -- I know I have extremely narrow heels - they basically come to a point like a triangle. The heel is so high, and the strap is secure, that when you walk there's no slipping at the heel anyway.

My only wish with these shoes I guess is that the heel was rubbery like the rest of the bottom. I kind of expected it since that's what my Fiorenza's are like.

I bet the black shoe is quite pretty too, but black on black generally isn't why someone is buying a fluevog.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Dream Come True!, July 23, 2009
This review is from: John Fluevog Women's Sigourney T-Strap Pump (Apparel)
Oh my goodness. I normally wear a 7.5, I thought I would probably have to get a size up but by the time I went to order, but I went ahead and took a chance on the 7.5, after an associate informed me that they might work for my narrowish feet. I just got them today and they are FABULOUS. There are no words! I was expecting a little discomfort - they're a tiny bit tight in the toe area, yes, but nothing that won't stretch out after a few wears, I'd assume. They're gorgeous and the heel is much more substantial than it looks in the photos, which makes it really sturdy. They're also RIDICULOUSLY comfortable for the height. I've just worn 'em around the house, not "out on the town" yet, but they are SO well padded! Drool drool drool! The colors are vibrant and just perfect, but I bet the black would be drop-dead gorgeous too. These are showstoppers, folks! Wear them and you can take over the world!
