Worked perfectly for me and I have very long, thick hair. I needed 2 boxes to cover it all but application was easy and color was spot on. Very happy with this product.

I have colored my hair for several years. After I decided to dicontinue going to the salon for color, this is what I chose instead. The foam is very easy--and fun!-- to apply and is far less messy than the cream or liquid versions other brands use. I have extremely long hair, and while using only one box is pushing it a little, I get even, long-lasting color from the roots to the tips. I agree that the resulting color is darker than what is depicted on the box, but I don't mind as I prefer dark hair. In direct daylight, the color can take on a reddish-brown glow which look very pretty.I have tried a few other Brilliant Brunette colors in lighter shades, such as dark chocolate brown, but I find that this brown-black resists fade the longest, and the chocolate brown actually fades to a dark orange-red after a month or so. I'm surprised that so many people were unsatisfied with this, as I will never use any other brand for coloring my hair at home.

Great color and the foam was way neater than other hair dyes. I stain a lot less of my bathroom with this hair dye. Not sure why so many people on here had so much trouble with it. I thought it was great.

I dye my hair frequently and have used all kinds of dye but his was by far the worst. The foam is so hard to control. I had it all over my face, neck, ears and bathroom, and in my eye. It was a mess. Aside from the mess, once I washed out my hair and dried it, it was pitch black! I chose a dark warm brown color and it turned out completely black. I took a picture of a strand of my hair against the box top and it is about 3 shades darker. I am very unhappy and i will never use this product again.

I used this shade last week, and I need to redo it with a different brand already. I have about 25% gray, and it dyed almost none of it. Even the non-gray looks the same as before. I have tried two other mousse dyes, and this is by far the worst. Considering how much pricier it is than other brands, I expected really good results, but you're better off with a cheap brand.

I purchased this at Walgreens. I've used many many different hair colors and brands over the years and I have never had such a horrible experience.

First the applications was very difficult. I was doing a root touch-up. I did not like the foam and it was messy. It just wasn't as drippy as the regular hair colors.

I followed the directions. When rinsing my hair CHUNKS came out. I mean CHUNKS of hair. I was very....upset, shocked... Ok, so I didn't have any bald spots, thank goodness. The color turned out to be very light brassy brown, not even close to what the box states. Maybe 6 shades off? My hair felt great that day, but after then felt completely fried. My ends are split about a quarter inch up now and I have to go get a decent amount cut off.

What a horrible experience!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!

Because of this stupid $11.99 hair color I purchased I now have to go and spend about $65+ at a salon to get the damage fixed (color fixed + cut). This sucks.
