This CD is simply amazing. I have been to two of JL shows and this DVD does capture the element and energy of this electrifying artist and band. If you missed his show, cop this CD, get some wine and prepare to take off! Each song is performed with such energy and sensuality. He even gives you a sneak peak of Again, a song that will be on his sophmore album. I wish he had debuted Feak Out also. That's my only beef with the DVD. This CD further cements John as what he really is...a LEGEND!

I really enjoyed the Songs that John did by himself. All the background singers and band members seemed to draw the attention away from his vocals. I debated on whether to give it 3 stars or 4 and I finally decided on 4 because he sings so well and the lyrics stir you. The Blu Ray edition looks beautiful in High Definition, and it sounds superb. They did a good job packaging this DVD full of beautiful songs. If you enjoyed hearing John Legend on CD or on the Radio, check out this Well edited, well shot film.

What can I say about this concert? Electrifyng, energizing, sexy, outstanding, superb... no words can compare to the Legend! If you've only heard him on cds or the radio, you hear the passion he has for his music. If you watch the dvd, you'll see his amazing stage presence and want to fly to his nearest concert to be a part his aura.

I recently purchased John Legend live at house of blues and let me just say it was OFF THE HOOK, one of the best concert dvd's I have seen, and I have seen quite a few. He sings every song from the get lifted album,the
audio and video quality were fantastic! Also, kanye west & snoop joined him for a song, Great show all around

I saw John Legend In Ireland a few months ago and wow what a talent. This man can definately put on a show and i cant wait to get this dvd.....His voice, his talent on the keys and his band are amazing. It's very rare in todays artist's to have a singer sound better live than they do on the studio album, but John Legend does just that.....he is a huge talent. if you ever get a chance to see him live then get a ticket cos you won't be dissapointed.

John Legend is an amazingly wonderful talented brother! This DVD will not disappoint his fans as he performs almost all of the songs from the Get Lifted disc. Legend is a vision in white as he takes the stage for this almost 90 minute set which showcases his strong and raspy vocals along with his skill at the piano. He keeps his audience hyped as they sing along with him, shouting the choruses, and breaking into huge applause as Kanye West and Snoop Dogg make guest appearances. Legend and his band are great performers and do Get Lifted great justice with the live versions of the songs, but Legend is clearly at his best when it's just his vocals and the piano. His renditions of Ordinary People and Again - from the Once Again CD are nothing short of magical. His reggae twist of Used To Love You is a treat, as well. This live DVD is a good addition to your DVD collection, but to truly understand what is special about this young man, you have to see him live.

Bought this for my husband and we both love it, feel like we are listening to a live concert. Great for an evening in. He truly is a legend!

John Legend and his Band really give you a good time at the House of Blues.

If you like the Get Lifted record and like live music, this DVD is for you. John and his band are slamming and they do a great job of recreating great album moments as well as breathing new life into the arrangements. after the warmup intro, they lay into "Let's Get Lifted" with a much stronger groove than the album - the DVD is worth it for this track alone.
There's a nice moment when John sits at the piano and plays excerpts from his collaborations - very cool.
Buy it. Watch it. Love it.

Man! This dvd is awesome, I didn't know john legend did shows like this. if you're a fan this dvd is a must have, if you're not, i strongly think this dvd will make you one. he does all the songs from his first cd.
