About the Author

Best known as singer-songwriter for the legendary Beatles, John Lennon was born in Liverpool, England. In 1969, Lennon married Yoko Ono and the two formed the Plastic Ono Band. A wonderful book that I have enjoyed since I purchased it back in the sixties. I quote the book often. The humor is priceless and will last forever. The world lost a gem, it's too bad he didn't live to write more than he did.

Don't let these other reviewers scare you. You don't need to worship John Lennon to enjoy this book. Even if you don't like the Beatles, it is really great reading. In particluar, I think the poem 'Deaf Ted, Danoota, and Me' shows real talent.

I bought this book 35 years ago for 2.50, and it is still worth every penny you will pay for it today. The humor and humanity are as barbed and poignant as I remember them, and even moreso.
