About a month ago, I purchased and installed a John Louis Closet System (12" wide shelves) in one of my small bedroom closets. It was a struggle. In any case, I then discovered that I was one shelf short of the drawing supplied with the instructions. Somewhat annoyed, I called a 1-800 customer-service number and complained (politely). The response couldn't have gone any better and I was sent another shelf within three days. However, I noted that I was still short of shelf space and the closet, as designed, could easily use one or two additional shelves. The customer-service lady suggested I go to a couple web sites and purchase the additional shelves there. I checked with Amazon (not one of the recommended sites), and there were the shelves.

Forty-six bucks for a couple shelves? Wow! The whole closet system went for under $250, and two of the small shelves went for $46? Oh well, what can you do? I ordered the shelves and they arrived within 5 days, as promised. These shelves can be very easily damaged, but they arrived in good condition and the red mahogany finish matched my closet system perfectly. The fit was precise. I'm somewhat annoyed at the cost, but the shelves and my shopping experience would indicate 5 stars.

I purchased the whole closet system from another company but after installing it, I needed 2 more shelves. Amazon was the most reasonable for just the shelves. I love this system. It took a while to put it all together but it was worth it. The shelves are very sturdy and once you get the hang of installation, it's pretty easy to get them up.

We installed our John Louis closet a year or so ago and just added some extra shelves this year. Shelves are very easy do-it-yourself installation--take minutes.
(We hired a professional for the original closet installation because we're not that handy.)Our closet is organized, easy to clean and attractive to look at. We've talked about moving some day. If we do, one of the things I will miss most is our great closet.

I bought these additional 2 shelves for a second tower I purchased. The included shelves allow for too much wasted space, if shelves are all you install in the tower. The additional shelves make the space about right for each shelf.

My husband and I bought these shelves for our master closet. We just love love love the John Louis closets. Everything is high quality and sturdy. Its solid wood so if you need to cut anything down it doesn't slinter like other shelves that are made. The shelves are made to be used with the tower. Also, the cost is effecient compared with places like Lowes or Home Depot.
