Charles Ham has told the tale of old cowboy John McCann, who is a hold over from the old cowboys days. He comes back to his roots in South Texas after the big old ranch, he had worked on for many years, was sold to another party and had laid off all the old hands. After returning to his roots, he finds employment, romance, and contentment.
