Caught in an Avalanche, etc.,
By
This review is from: John Muir's Wild America (Hardcover)
Hearing an ominous rumble, John Muir, looks up the mountain just in time to see a mighty avalanche descending on him. There is no chance of escaping. At the last minute he has a sudden impulse to spread-eagle. You'll need to read the book to learn of the adventures of this amazing virtually self-taught naturalist, artist, author, and conservationist. By the way there's a bit of romance hidden in this book's pages.Beautiful color photographs by Farrell Grehan and sketches by Muir are librally scattered throughout the book.
