For the price, this is a nice little board. There are 2 issues in my opinion.
1. The latches are longer than they should be and therefore hang lower than the board when in the open "playing" position. If you use the board on a nice wooden table you must leave the latches up or they will scratch the table surface.
2. There are hinges on the board (of course) but there are no "feet" so when it is closed you really can't set it down like a briefcase because it sits on the hinges.
If you like the game and don't want to spend a lot - I recommend this board. If you're concerned about the issues I mentioned you may want to keep looking. It's a keeper for me...

This backgammon game is not the best quality attache I've seen, but it's of fairly decent quality for the price. Good for teaching a child how to play.

This seemed very nice for the money. I don't know how the durability will be considering how inexpensive it was, but it's very fine for our purposes. I'd been wanting to teach my seven-year-old daughter how to play, and she loves the game.

It is a good and nicely made. My son and I are enjoying every night playing this game. One thing though, when latches open, board will not open flat. Because of the same reason, our wooden table top is getting dings. Minor problem.

I was looking for something durable enough that I could take it to play in coffee shops and such, without all the frills of the more expensive boards. This backgammon game is just that. The game is made with a plasticy fake leather and fairly low quality felt, but for the price is excellent.

Pros:
-game is good size
-fairly sturdy construction
-nice, simple asthetic
-good quality for the price

Cons:
-dice are printed poorly on my set (dots are smeared)
-made with plasticy material and low quality felt
-no extra pieces (so don't lose any!)

We bought this for our 8 year old son who loves it! The board is made well & looks gorgeous. We are very happy with our purchase.

How much fun??? Seriously, backgammon is an awesome game. It is a great tool for learning to count and if you are weak in the mathematics department, you will soon know 1-24 combinations back and forth playing backgammon.

The board size is perfect for travel and playing at home. I prefer this size board to the larger boards. The black and white scheme is nice too.

Bought this about a month or so ago and my 13 year old and I have given it a workout. The quality of the product is a little better than what you'd expect for the price. If you're looking for a decent game that you don't have to pay a lot for, this one fits the bill.

i used to have a set just like this as a kid and played for hours with my family. Now me and my husbands play for hours!
