Bought this for my 10-year old son who likes to juggle and spin plates. Should have been a good bang for the buck. There's a big problem with the spinning plate. It's *very* hard to spin it. My son got so frustrated with it so I bought a spinning plate and stick from Amazon seller MagicGeek Juggling Store (product was very good and seller got excellent service, see my review). At first, we thought the problem is with the short, soft plastic stick that came with it but when he tried that same stick with the new plate, all went well. We found out that the real problem is with the spinning plate. It's shape, size and quality is different from the new one which spins perfectly.

If you want to buy this, just pretend that a spinning plate is not included or else you'll get frustated too. Should have been a good buy if not for that stupid plate.

I was happy to see when the kit arrived that it was exactly as stated in the description. The clubs are a bit smaller then the clubs I already have, but that's great 'cause A: they fit in my juggling prop bag easily, and B: they might be a tad easier to learn with then the ones I already have. The clubs quite honestly were the main reason I purchased the set. Not sure if I'll ever actually try the plate spinning (The stick seems a tad flimsy.) but I have it in case I need a diversion.

I purchased this set as a gift for a new juggler. I was really disappointed because the juggling set did not come with the scarves or the spinning plate. The stuff it did come with was super cheap! I didn't have really high expectations, but I at least hoped to receive what was pictured and equipment that one could juggle. I am a very experienced juggler and was not even able to juggle the pins. They were too light, flimsy, and not properly balanced. It is really too bad because I bought it primarily because of the pins. The rings are okay....there are four of them which I thought was strange. The balls are okay as well, but are made for small hands. This might be an okay gift for really young kids learning to juggle, but not for anyone else. I don't understand how kids can learn using this equipment when seasoned jugglers have so much trouble using it. All in all, I do not recommend this product. If you want to learn to juggle, use a few tennis balls.

This has got to be the best $[...] I have ever spent. I went searching for a juggling book and most of them cost this much or more. I went searching for a set of balls and most cost more. I was very happy to get the entire set for such a good price. The balls are very good, multi-colored leather, bean bags. I have not begun to use the bats, rings, and other items but it is certainly worth the price for the book and balls. It took me about a month of practicing (15 minutes or so a day) to get proficient.

Eight-year-old Elizabeth has attended many magic camps and is a good juggler as well as a plate spinner. She has this kit and thought she'd share how to spin the plate successfully. Additionally, if you are learning to juggle, the scarves are the easiest place to start.

After searching for the juggling balls and pins seperately, I found this set to be the most reasonable for my 11 year old beginner. The set in my opinion is perfect for a beginner juggler. If you are a more advanced juggler, you may want to step up to the more expensive pieces as you may be disappointed with the quality included in this particular set. It can not be beat for the value and I recommend for those who are just starting out. Once I see my son continue with this interest and start to excel, I will then spend the extra money on the higher quality stuff.

The toy is a lot of fun.
The little book that comes with it is really easy to understand and teaches you so much.
The quality look fine and i haven't had any problems yet, just be careful to not drop the balls from a high altitude, because i broke one doing that but i fixed it easily.

Cheaply made. The juggling balls were awful. They are more like cubes than balls. Spinning plate was useless. Stick used for the plate was wobbly plastic. The rings and scarves are OK. Clubs are just toys and not very good. Booklet was OK.

No, I wasn't expecting much. My son and I have started to learn juggling, and ready to graduate from bean bags I was looking for some variety in objects, and while it was obvious the set was far from professional quality, it appeared that it might fill the bill.

The clubs are molded plastic--not surprising. But they seem durable and fairly well balanced. The scarves, well, they're scarves. No problem. It goes downhill from here. The balls, while seemingly well made, are *way* too small. Maybe for a 7 year old or younger, but certainly not for adult hands, or any average sized adolescent. The rings are entirely too thin and light. Tossed into the air they don't track very well and probably make better frisbees than juggling objects. Last but not least, as others have pointed out, while the disk probably works okay, not with the provided flimsy stick.

In short, we would have been much better off spending a few extra bucks on a reasonable set of clubs. Nothing else in the set adds to the value.

My 10 year old son was thrilled with the juggling set. Unlike some other reviews, he found the plate very easy to use. He was doing tricks with the plate within minutes of opening the set. He will have to practice more before being able to juggle the rings and pins, but he likes the challenge. He really played with the set for about a week, but now he only gets it out once in a while. We are very satisfied with it overall.
