As a little girl I looked forward to getting my Josef doll. My mother gave me one for every year until I was 16. She passed that year & seeing the dolls bring back such good memories. I kept them on display until my late 20's. I only wish they had something similar for little boys. I suggest this to anyone with a little girl. It's a great tradition.

My daughter has the whole collection, so I thought Id start my niece out with number 1. When you look at this doll something is missing.. so I did a side by side comparison with my daughters number 1. Wow there is no sparkle on the 1, its even curved. The ribbon is plain, the bow in the hair is the wrong color, the arm is too rounded. These are supposed to be quality pieces but its not there. Im so disappointed.
