John Patrick has good, sound, advice. People who hand their money foolishly to the casinos are, in his opinion, "Dorks".

The power of John's ideas are what you don't do...not what you do. In other words, if you listen to him, the stupid (i.e. Dorky) decisions that built Las Vegas are not part of your repertoire. You use good money management. You accept repeated small wins and walk away. You set a loss limit. You leave when you reach your loss limit. You leave the table when you are ahead (not just when you are out of money). You avoid the high "vig" choices.

It is not a legitimate criticism to say that his system does not give you a mathmatical advantage. If you want a mathmatical advantage, don't gamble. The casino exists (and prospers) because the gambler never has the mathmatical advantage.

Calm down...calm down...all you card counters. I understand that some of you may have a statistical advantage. First of all...that's a hell of a lot of work. Second, only about .2% of you guys are any good at it. Finally, card counting without discipline, nerves of steel and good money management still sends you home broke.

John has the best and most honest system out there. If you really want the truth about gambling...read, study and learn John Patrick. The truth may not be pretty but it is realistic. The good news is that you get to sit in a palace, surrounded by beautiful women, and it's all paid for by the Dorks!

One usually assumes that if a person has written a book, he or she must have a modicum of knowledge about the subject being written about; but this book proves the fallacy of such an assumption. John Patrick is totally clueless concerning the mathematical probabilities which govern this game.

All games that are offered by a Casino have a built-in advantage, but seldom will you find an author suggesting that you play in a way that will increase the Casino's advantage over you. This is the only thing that John Patrick does correctly. Every one of his "special" ideas about how to play this game are WRONG.

If you play Blackjack the way he tells you to, you will not only throw away the money you spent to buy this book, you will also throw away the money you wager in a Casino using his "special" strategy. My only regret is that I had to choose a rating system from 1 to 5. If I could, I would have chosen -50.
