I am a serious amateur woodworker and metalworker, as well as a medieval reenactor with a lot of really heavy items to store. I have deployed the Fast Mount shelving system, including this installation hook, in my garage, basement, and workshop.
These hooks are unique in that they let you hang shelving from the foundation sill in a basement. It's trivial to move it if you want to later. Also, you don't have to drill holes in masonry (thereby inviting water leakage). I have 3/4" (1.9 cm) plywood shelving on these hooks loaded with boxes of books, heavy canvas tents (200 pounds/100 kg or more each), and workshop raw materials, and have never had a failure. I'm about to expand my shelving, and the local Home Depot and Lowes don't carry this shelving any more. I will buy Fast-Mount elsewhere, then, because I'm not willing to accept something less. This stuff is great. |
