After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Florida Bible College, John went on to receive his Masters of Divinity from Knox Theological Seminary and his Doctorate from Reformed Theological Seminary. Having worked for 29 years in the Fire-Rescue arena, John retired in January 2007 at the rank of Battalion Chief in the Broward Sheriff's Division of Fire-Rescue to focus upon his first love, that of teaching the Bible. John currently teaches as an adjunct for the Florida Campus of Trinity International University and for South Florida Bible College.
John met his wife, Paula, at Florida Bible College where they were both students. "Paula is the light of my life, my constant companion and beloved partner." She and John have both served as visiting instructors at the Moldova Bible Seminary in Eastern Europe. John is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America.
John and Paula have a daughter, Sky Heather McNeill. She and husband Lance live within driving distance with their children, Andrew Paul and Eliyah Faith.
