As part of my Christmas gifts, I buy Waterhouse calendars every year for my wife, dauthter, and sister-in-law. They have had many different ones over the years, but the past few years they have DEMANDED that I buy them the Waterhouse. This one for 2011 is spectacular. They absolutely love it!

As a lover of British Victorian painting and John William Waterhouse, I was very happy to get this calendar for Christmas, for the fourth year in a row now. And I was pleasantly surprised to find featured several of my favorite somewhat lesser-known paintings by Waterhouse, among them VANITY, SWEET SUMMER, ARIADNE, and the two versions of LAMIA. I would certainly have given this calendar five stars if it were not that one or two of the paintings seem less clearly reproduced than they might have been; they look a bit "fuzzy" and dark. Still, this is an excellent product by Pomegranate.
